Florine Green Goodwin, 90, of Apex, passed away, Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Rex Nursing and Care Center of Apex.
Florine was born October 4, 1926 to the late Floyd and Floy House Green. She was employed in the accounting department UNC Chapel Hill Press retiring with over 30 years of service. Florine was a member of Olive Chapel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Goodwin; brothers, Gilbert, Ed, Clark, and Jay Hugh Green; sister, Henrietta Watkins; granddaughter, Melissa McLain; and great granddaughter, Ashley Fite.
Florine is survived by her daughters, Pat Wester (Johnnie) and Diana Mitchell (Alfred); son, Mike Goodwin (Sharron); 5 grandchildren, Bridgett, Todd, Joyce, Travis and Hank; and 6 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held 2pm Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Olive Chapel Baptist Church, 600 New Hill Olive Chapel Rd, Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends 12:30-2pm prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to Olive Chapel Baptist Church Library.
