Mr. Gary Wayne "Papa Bear" Kinser, age 55, of Houston, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017. He was born August 19, 1961 in Harriman, Tennessee. Mr. Kinser was a member of the Pentecostal Lighthouse Worship Center in Harriman, Tennessee. Gary married the love of his life, Tina Maddox on March 2, 1995 in Houston, Texas. He was born and raised in Tennessee and some would say he was a "Mountain Man." From mountains to bayous Gary, his brother Greg, his best friend Lee and his blazer "Blue Goose" moved to Houston 34 years ago where he claimed residence and lived the rest of his adult life.
He was an ASE certified automobile technician that could simply listen over the phone to any cars' tick or tock and tell you what the problem was. He was also a Harley Davidson enthusiast and loved being able to get on his hog and take a ride. Gary was known more to everyone as Dad and he practically raised and mentored many individuals into the men and women that they have become today. He was the type of man that would give you the shirt off his back or the last dollar in his pocket if you needed it and not expect anything in return. He will be loved and missed by everyone. After a five-year battle he has reached his eternal home where there is no sickness or pain.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Glen Kinser; brother, Gregory Kinser. He is survived by his mother, Nadine Kinser (Harriman, Tennessee); wife of 22 years, Tina Kinser (Houston, Texas); son, Garret Kinser (Harriman, Tennessee); daughters, Danielle Trudeau (Ward, Arkansas); Brandie Kinser (Houston, Texas); sister-in-law, Donna Kinser (Conroe, Texas); 2 grandchildren, Trinity Trudeau and Chaeli Johnson along with many other extended family members.
