We mourn the loss and cherish the life of Lucy Jane Hillsman Pruett, age 67 who went to be with her Lord and Savior with her loving family by her side on Thursday March 23, 2017 at her granddaughter's residence in Blacksburg, South Carolina.
Lucy was the daughter of the Late Richard Henry Hillsman, Jr and Lular Gregory Hillsman. She was also preceded in death by one sister and three brothers: Mary, Rick, Andrew and Harry.
Those left behind to cherish her precious memories are two daughters and son in law: Jada McCumbee of Gastonia, Melody (Beth) and Corey Storch of Gastonia; one son and daughter in law: Lanny and Nicole Pruett of Belmont; two sisters: Byrde Hunter of Milton, Florida and Faye O'Dell of Gastonia; one brother and sister in law: Robert and Martha Hillsman of Kings Mountain; ten grandchildren: Jessica and husband Kyle, Mandy and husband Tray, Justin and Wife Brittany, Michelle, Sara and husband Trevor, Brooke, Richard, Isaac, Abigail and Peyton; five great grandchildren: Jacob, Lanie, Alyssa, Chloe and Colten; special friend: Sandy Greene Phelps
A Life Well Celebrated ceremony will be conducted at 12:00 PM Monday March 27, 2017 at Ranlo Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Jeremy Carson officiating. Graveside and committal will follow at Alexis Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive guest from 6:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Ranlo Freewill Baptist Church.

I am so sorry for your loss. Even when our family lives a full and long life we can never prepare for their leaving. God has put eternity into our hearts and will satisfy that desire (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

I remember Jane fondly. Spent some of my weekends spending the night with the kids. I am so sorry for you loss Jada Beth and Terry and grandkids. I wish i could be there to say my goodbyes to momma Jane. God bless each and everyone of you and i pray for peace and comfort during this difficult time.
