STANLEY - Martha Dean Lineberger, child of God, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at the age of 87.
Martha was born February 2, 1930 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Oscar D. Cloninger, Sr. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Robert Odell Lineberger; brothers Grady, Ray, Fred, and Floyd Cloninger; and sisters Peggy Cloninger and Mary Fisher.
Martha married her beloved Robert at the age of 23 and together they had three children. She was a committed wife, mother and enduring caregiver to their youngest son, James. She was a devoted Christian and a lifelong member of Christ's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stanley. Martha was beloved by all who knew her, and she will be remembered for her courageous and loving disposition, charitable soul, and most of all, her unwavering faith in God our Father.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Jan Tarlton and husband Bill; her son Stephen Lineberger and wife Kimberly; and son, James Lineberger; four granddaughters Amber and husband Larry, Heather and husband Brent, Christine and husband Marcus, Marie and husband Thomas; great grandchildren Caleb, Zachary, Kadie, Destiny, Tommy, Terica, T.J., and Trinity. Additionally, she is survived by sister Ruth Hopkins; and two brothers Mack Cloninger and Oscar D. Cloninger, Jr.
A graveside service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 2 p.m.
