BLOOMINGTON – Jean Marrs, 85, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Heritage Health, Bloomington.
Jean was born December 14, 1931, in Hamburg, IA, the daughter of Clinton and Leta Fletcher Cross.
Surviving are her children, Randy Marrs of Bloomington; Robin Marrs of Bloomington; Reva (Tim) Howard of Downs; and Renee (Yvan) Bacon of Bloomington; three grandchildren, Ashley (Curt) Morgan of Bloomington; Levi Howard of Bloomington; and Jay Howard of Champaign. She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Eloise Weeks.
Jean worked at State Farm and retired from there after working 27 years. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She also loved reading, shopping, and crossword puzzles. She was very fond of her cats. She was a member of the Centennial Christian Church in Bloomington for many years.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Mausoleum Chapel in East Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 9260 Washington, DC 20077. Online condolences may be shared with the family at eastlawn-bloomington.com
