Mary Magdalene "Maggie" Meeks, 82, of Ozark, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday prior to service time. At other times the family will be at the home of Mrs. Meeks, 136 Boxwood Drive, Ozark.
Mrs. Meeks was born October 4, 1934 in Cleburne County, Alabama. She and her husband traveled extensively during his military career before moving to Ozark in 1964. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Meeks.
Survivors include a daughter, Deloris Williams (Richard) of Ozark; four sons, Michael Meeks of Ozark, Ricky Meeks (Betty) of Ozark, Kenneth Meeks (Sarah) of Midland City, and Bruce Meeks, of Ozark; twelve grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews also survive.
