Wilma R. Flynn, 75, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away Monday, April 3, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 30, 1941 in Ray, Illinois to James and Lela (Tomlinson) Perkins. She married James Richard Flynn in 1960 in Peoria. He preceded her in death in 1984 in Wichita, Kansas. She was also preceded in death by one son, Francis William Flynn and one grandson, James Richard Flynn.
She is survived by four daughters, Margaret Wilcox of Mt'Ary, LA, Debbie Landry of Oklahoma City, OK, Marcella (Scott) Hefton of Edmond, OK, Loretta (Russell) Luedtke of Peoria; 23 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren and nine siblings, Shirley McAllister, Richard Perkins, Gene Perkins, Norman Perkins, Beverly Reigel, Donna Smithers, Rita Taylor, Doris Meinders and Ray Perkins. She has many nieces and nephews.
She lived at the Cedars of Lebanon and enjoyed her dice games and going to Heddington Oaks to visit her sister and her daily phone calls to family and friends. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church on Farmington Road. Wilma managed many years, Oscar's Family Diner on Farmington Road in Peoria.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Jim Vincent will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Friday. Burial will be in the Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. You may create an online condolence at www.davison-fultonbartonvillechapel.com.
