SUSAN BELINDA LEVY ALLEN

Susan Belinda Levy Allen, 58, lost her courageous 7-year battle with breast cancer on April 6, 2017. She died at her home in Lutz, Florida with her family at her side.

Susan, the youngest of five daughters, was born May 19, 1958 in Kingston, Jamaica to Lydia Frances Levy and Vernon I.C. Levy. Educated in Jamaica, she immigrated to Miami, Florida in 1978. Two years after her arrival in the United States, she met Nigel Anthony Carlisle Allen, with whom she remained in love for 36 years until her death. Susan and Nigel would have celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on April 20, 2017.

Susan worked for JP Morgan Chase Bank in Tampa for over 20 years. Her interests included family, cooking, travel and all things Jamaican. She was a devoted wife, sister, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend.

Susan is survived by her husband, Nigel; sisters Yvonne Constantine Ryan (Hollywood FL), Helen Deanna German (Richmond, British Columbia, Canada), and Millicent Claire Smith (Thousand Oaks, CA); 14 nieces and nephews; and, beloved cats Sonny and Lexi.

Susan was preceded in death by her mother, father, and sister Mary Wheeler.

Donations may be sent to the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute Foundation, Inc., Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation, 12902 Magnolia Drive, MBC-FOU, Tampa, Florida, 33612 for the specific use of breast cancer research.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at Blount & Curry Funeral Home – Carrollwood, 3207 West Bearss Avenue, Tampa, Florida, 33618.

Nigel and family, we are so sorry that Susan had to leave you so soon. Our love and sympathies are with you but you see, her Master called her and His voice was very clear. She had made a reservation, a heaven-bound ticket for one so she was expecting the call. She knows your hearts are heavy because she has to go but now she is resting in her Master's arms as she cross over to glory and to you all she says, just stand in the hands of Jesus and you will see her again someday.
