Cora D. Anderson was born on June 12, 1926 to Parents Lorrance Alphonse and Mary Lillian (Dobson) Cuaves in Gulfport Mississippi. She was called home on April 7, 2017 surrounded by her family.
Cora married the love of her life and best friend, Bland (Andy) on June 14, 1952. As a military wife she traveled to many duty stations throughout many states and countries until his retirement, where they then made their home in Denison.
Andy preceded her in death in 2006. She was also preceded in death by son Glenn and her nephew Gene whom she raised.
A consummate mother, caregiver and homemaker, she loved her family unconditionally. She enjoyed spending time gardening and tending her flowers. Her hobbies included crocheting, cooking, collecting recipes and old cook books. Her greatest joy was spending time with Andy fishing and metal detecting for many years.
She is survived by daughter Deborah Staten and husband David of Denison; granddaughters Amber Reynolds and husband Danny of Plano; Rosa Boyte and husband Rowdy of Atmore, Alabama and grandson Ransom Staten of Denison and many special nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are pending at Fairview Cemetery in Denison.
"Though nothing can bring back the hour of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower, we will grieve not rather find strength in what remains behind." William Wordsworth.

I will always cherish the times spent at my Nanny and PaPa's house every summer growing up and every Christmas and Thanksgiving. Through the years I have never waivered in my love for my Nanny and my PaPa. Although Nanny and PaPa were technically great aunt & great uncle to my brother,my sister, and myself, they were in every sense our grandparents; they treated and loved us as such. Rest In Peace, Nanny. I love you with all my heart and know you are with PaPa, Glen, and Dad again.
