Linda P. Aldhizer, 74, of Staunton went to live with her Angles on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Augusta Nursing and Rehab Center in Fishersville.

She was born June 27, 1942 in Harrisonburg, the daughter of the late Ralph W.E. and Eleanor Aldhizer.

She retired from Western State Hospital with 23 years in food service. Linda was a member of the auxiliary of the Staunton Augusta Rescue Squad, served several offices in the W.C.T.U. and was a member of AARP 3842.

Linda had a great love of crafts, animals, especially cats and collecting angels of all kinds.

Survivors include her children, Stephen Huffman, Sr. and wife, Tami of New Hope; daughter, Sharon Fitzgerald and husband, Troy of Staunton; brother, David Aldhizer of Verona; four grandchildren, Amanda Bass of South Carolina, Stephen Huffman, Jr. and fiancé, Ashley of Staunton, Joe Little of Ruckersville and Daniel Fitzgerald of Staunton; two great-great grandchildren, Aubrey Huffman of Staunton and Isabella Bass of South Carolina. Linda also leaves two special friends, Paige Wagner and Joyce Floyd both of Staunton; a niece, Ashley Aldhizer of Colorado.

A memorial reception will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Bridge Christian Center, Goose Creek Road, Fishersville.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Home.
