Wanda Lee Gunno, 93, of Cross Lanes went to be with the Lord April 11, 2017 in Bellaire at Devonshire after a long illness.
Wanda was born February 4, 1924 to the late Ottie and Hattie Ashley Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edison Gunno Sr.; daughter, Dora Gunno Bower; and a sister, Pauline Richmond.
Wanda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tyler Mountain, where she enjoyed singing, and provided service to others. She was a retired secretary with Friedlander Insurance Agency. She was a member of the Eastern Star, enjoyed gardening, and reading guide post and newspaper in her spare time.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Sandra Wilson (Ken) of Cross Lanes; son, Edison Gunno Jr. (Dorothy) of Cross Lanes; grand-daughters, Jennifer Logan, and Kelly Pritt (Tod); grandson, Michael Bower; great-grandchildren, Thomas Pritt, Joshua Logan, Jonah Logan, and Lauren Pritt; several nieces and nephews; and host of friends and Church family.
Service will be 1pm Monday, April 17th, 2017 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV 25313. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at noon, Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Blvd W, Charleston, WV 25387, or the First Baptist Church of Tyler Mountain, 5219 Alpine Dr, Cross Lanes, WV 25313.

Sandy - I enjoyed so much seeing your mom's life journey in pictures .. you were truly blessed to have such an obviously loving mother to guide you through your life's journey. She's at peace now having accomplished what her life's goals were. I met her just once at Ken's mother's viewing and sat beside her for a couple hours and felt instantly the kind of sweet, loving person she was. May she rest forever in peace. With love and sympathy,
