On April 9, 2017, God called home an angel, Charles passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in West, TX on October 25, 1933 and later moved to Granger. Charles is preceded in death by his parents Charles L. and Angela (Woytek) Bucanek.
Charles is survived by his wife, Irene, daughters: Debbie Kubiak husband David, Cheryl Hegar with Lee Perez, sons Charles D. Bucanek wife Tisha, Sidney Bucanek wife Cris, Sister Lillian Zycha, brother: Frankie Bucanek, and Eddie Bucanek wife Mary. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Charles was a farmer in Granger before enlisting in the Navy, later on Charles went to work at American Desk in Taylor.
Charles loved Czech music and the Rockport Beach.
Pall Bearers are grandchildren: Chance Bucanek, Dylan Bucanek, Seth Bucanek, Jaden Kubiak, Blayne Hegar, Blake Hegar, John Pyle Jr., Timmy Crisp .
