Lois Yvonne Baker Martin, age 70, passed peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 9, 2017 in Waggaman, LA. She was a retiree of Bell South. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Anthony Martin and parents Louis Baker and Earline Victoria Gaines Thomas. She is survived by her children, Ronald Anthony Martin, Jr. (Selina), and Derrick Anthony Martin; One grandson Eric Janeau, Jr.; dad Henry Thomas, Jr. (June); Siblings, Henry Thomas, III (Patricia), Valencia Thomas, Lori Crawford, and Rodney Thomas (Althea); Also survived by brothers and sisters in law Helen Connelly (the late Morris), Robert Martin (the late Veronica), Carolyn M. Williams (the late Rodney), Marilyn M. Turbinton (the late Wilson-Willie Tee), Betty M. Fosselman (Gerald), James Martin (Elizabeth), Glenn Martin, Sr., Lloyd Martin, Sr. (Elmas), Rogers Martin (Lois), and Barbara M. Watkins (the late Michael); two aunts, Fodessa Comier and Linda Parker; nieces and nephews Jade Thomas, Andrea Ward, Jimmie Crawford (Naja), Travis Thomas (Cynthia), Tyrell Thomas, Domonique Thomas, Shawn Lackings, Jr., Alaina Ward, Landen Jackson, Bryson Ward, Kaleigh Morris, Jori Thomas, Zandell Wilson, Karen C. Allen (Steve), Khristie C. Hughes (Keith), Morris B. Connelly, Jr., Bridgett Hughes, Stephanie Allen, Brendon Hughes, Kayla Allen, Chantay Brown (Quintan), Natasha Martin, Quillan Brown, Anthony Brown, Jr., Racquel T. Bruno (Sean), Sean-Michael Bruno, Jillian Bruno, Corey Williams, Deonka Williams, Kelsey Williams, Jacoby Williams, DeJa Martinez, Gabrielle Martinez, Darius Martin, Gera Martin Smith, Damian Martin, Darian Martin, McKenzie Martin, Curtis Martin, Lloyd Martin, Jr., Josh Washington, Miram Martin, Winter Martin, Robin Martin, Marais Martin, Roxie Watkins, Talayah Bell, as well as the late Traig Thomas, Kendra Martin and Glenn Martin Jr. She is the daughter-in-law of Mary Helen Valentine Martin and the late Louis Martin. She is also survived by one godchild Brian Alexander, One sister/cousin Lynn Alexander, Terrence Cormier, Melanie and Zenith Parker, as well as her beloved canine companion, Drew.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Algiers on Friday, April 21, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM at the church. Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery in New Orleans. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
