Marie Mullenix, 90 year-old former resident of Midwest City, Oklahoma, passed away April 15, 2017 in Lexington, Oklahoma. Born March 4, 1927 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of John S. Hennington and Myrtie (Buffalo) Hennington. Marie was retired from the shipping/warehouse division of Central Fixtures (T.G. &Y). She loved reading; traveling; gardening; writing Poetry; fishing; camping; baking; deer hunting; riding motorcycles; and going to the rodeo. Marie was a former beautician and had visited 49 states, missing only Minnesota during her travels. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles E. Mullenix; 1 son, Danny Mullenix; and 1 brother, Leslie Hennington. Survivors include 1 son, Ervin Mullenix of Midwest City, OK; 2 daughters, Linda and her husband Howell Pendleton of Purcell, Oklahoma; and Ellen Mullenix of Florida; several grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel, 8805 NE 23rd St., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73141 with burial to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens, Midwest City, Oklahoma.

Dear Michelle, your grandma was very pretty! I feel fortunate that I got to meet her. I can see the resemblance in your mom and in you! She obviously was a wonderful role model, very well rounded, athletic and adventuresome like you also. Sending hugs and blessings to you and your family at this difficult time.
