Ralph H. Wells of Liberty, MO died on April 17, 2017. He was born on January 21, 1932 in Boston, MA to Dr. Ralph and Edith Hodgdon Wells. He graduated in 1950 from Hebron Academy and attended Boston University before entering the USAF in 1953 to 1961. While in the Air Force Ralph served as a training instructor, NCO both stateside and AFB England as a member of the 81st Fighter Wing. Upon returning to the states, Ralph met his wife, Nancy Ann Shull, while both were stationed in San Antonio, TX. They left the Air Force in October 1961, moving to Kansas City. Ralph worked for IBM, retiring after 23 years. He was very active in his church, Northland Optimist Club and the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; son, Phillip Alan; daughter, Audrey Lynn; and sister and brother-in-law, Rachel and Wayne Huffaker. Survivors include his wife, Nancy, and nephews, Calloway and Ralph Huffaker, of Tohoka, TX.
Visitation at 9:00am and service at 10:00am, Friday, April 21, 2017 at St. Luke’s Joy Church, Kansas City, MO. Interment to follow at 2:00pm at Highland Cemetery, Hamilton, MO.
