Adela M. Peterson passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2017, at the age of 97. Daughter of the late Cristobal Varela and Tiburcia Medal. She was preceded in death by her late beloved husband Marshall N. Peterson. She is survived by her brother Manuel Medal.
Mrs. Peterson was born on in Comayagua, Honduras on May 8, 1919. She lived in New Orleans, where she met her future husband, Marshall Peterson. They spent many happy years in Washington, D.C. where her husband worked until his retirement. They retired to New Orleans, which held a special place in their hearts. She was a loving spouse and a special person to those who were fortunate to know her. She will be missed dearly.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, at 1:30 PM on Saturday April 29, 2017 followed immediately by a Graveside Service at 3:00 PM.
