William N. McBride, 70, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away April 15, 2017. He is survived by his wife Lucy McBride; daughter Katie Clayton (Alan); brother Charles H. McBride; sister Jeanette Vaccaro (Sonny); grandchildren Caroline Clayton, Joe Clayton and Emma Clayton.
Visitation will be held 12:00-1:00 pm with Funeral Service at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 20 at Mount Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kansas University Medical Center, Cancer Research, 3901 Rainbow Boulevard, Kansas City, Kansas 66160.

Amanda just read a message on FB tonight regarding Bill's passing. We are so very sorry to learn this. Bill and Lucy were so very welcoming to Amanda when she and Katie were growing up. I had the pleasure of working with Bill at Enterprise Rent a Car the last several years in a part time retirement job. We were drivers. Bill had his health struggles and challenges, but he persevered and never asked for special consideration. BIll had a great sense of humor, and I had respect for his work ethic.
