Hola Conchi and family,
Ramon already wrote for us when I was in Austin and are also my thoughts. We thank Luis and you for all you have done to continue our Cuban culture and traditions here in New Orleans. He was always funny and witty.
I just got back yesterday and so sad to hear about his passing. My deepest sympathy are for you and the entire family. Luis is now resting in peace with God.

Dear Conchita and Sosa family,
I just heard this afternoon of Luis' passing while attending the Cuban Club Board of Directors meeting. We were all very saddened by the news. I got to know Luis and Conchita more so late in their lives through our interactions in the Cuban Club and Hermandad. He was a wonderful man and one that the younger Cuban New Orleans residents owe much to, him having been one of the founding members of the Cuban Club, an organization he provided much inspiration and leadership to. I know you must all be very proud of him and know you must have very fond memories of him and only hope that these memories will help you bear the sadness and pain of these days. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family...
Best regards,
Ramon Vallejo and the Vallejo family

DARCELL LEWIS
To the family,
I had the honor & privilege to work with Mr. Sosa for 30 years, and I can truly say that he was an amazing man. I was always that girl, but it was understood that he depended on me for whatever task he needed done. He taught me so many things throughout the years concerning electrical engineering. The lessons were done with patience and wisdom, because he was that kind of man. I also got to know the personal side of him as a husband, father, and grandfather. He loved Mrs. Conchita with such grace and respect, always a smile when he talked about her, giving her his all. His love & pride for his children was what every child should experience in their life. I cried when he retired, and missed him always, and now I have to say goodbye again, but only for a while, for I can just imagine him engineering in the next life, brilliant as always. So I encourage you, Sosa's Family, to hold on the fact that he was a force of life that passed through and left so many tidbits of him as he traveled on his journey, and they will are growing inside of you all.
God, the Eternal father has you all in His hands for He knows all.
What we have once enjoyed we can never lose, all that we love deeply becomes a part of usHelen Keller

I was sadden to read Neva's email saying that Luis passed away. I have very fond memories of church work (Family Life Committee and Finance Committee) with him at Christ the King. He and Conchita were inspirations to my generation. Please know your family is in my prayers. Val Coles
