Gracie Estelle Taylor passed away peacefully, April 19, 2017 in Keller, Texas at the age of 88.
She was born November 16, 1928 in Palacios, Texas to Perry Delton Patton and Newell Elma Elliott.
She graduated from Comanche High School in 1946 and married E.S. Taylor Christmas Eve of 1946 in Comanche, Texas.
Estelle lived her younger life in many areas around Comanche County, Texas. She moved to Euless, Texas in 1963 with her husband and four children, where she lived the remainder of her days.
After her five children were grown she worked as a nursery care worker in various locations, the longest time at North Euless Baptist Church.
Estelle is preceded in death by her beloved husband, E.S. Taylor; a grandson, Troy Richardson; great-grandsons, Matthew Chumley and Caden Taylor; her parents, Perry Patton and Newell Patton and her only brother, Elven Patton.
She survived by: Steve and Andrea Taylor of Euless, TX; Gracie Lynn and Sam Walls of Goldthwaite, TX; Brenda and Bill Richardson, Donna Head and Tim and Michele Taylor all of Euless, TX; also fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; a brother -in- law and sister- in- law, Barton and Harriet Carter, along with many nieces and nephews.
Estelle was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was known by adults and children alike as “Grammy”. Her greatest passion was caring for and rocking babies. She loved reading and working crossword puzzles books. Many remember and quote her silly sayings and poems. She was a patient, gentle, loving, caring person who brought peace and comfort to everyone.
Estelle, “Grammy” will be greatly missed by so many who were loved by her and were blessed to have her in their lives.
