When I was a young man in my 20's he taught me how to respect differing opinion. He was an adversary for an equal opportunity cause that eventually help me deal with issues that I could not understand from his perspective. His calm and caring approach allowed me to better understand and accept different perspectives and to not be closed minded in listening to other sides of issues. I had many positive interactions with him from then on. Something that you carry through life's dealings (I'm now 69) and realize only too late of the quiet and unassuming impact a man like Maurice could have on you. My condolences to the family on your loss. John Thibault COL (ret), NHARNG

Dear Marilyn and family, I was so sorry to read of Maurice's passing. I know that he was one of Gretchen's favorite ESOL tutors; always engaging the new English learners and also so very supportive of her and her efforts to do the very best for ALL the English Language Learners in the Concord School District. My deepest condolences and prayers for you at this time of great loss.
