Thelma Marie "Reecie" Prince, of Smithville, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 in her daughter's home in Lawrence County. Thelma was born on May 8, 1928 in Monroe County to the late Albert and Gusta(Edwards)Kinser. She was married to Ira F. Prince for 63 years and he preceded her in death on November 9, 2007. Thelma had worked at RCA in Bloomington and was a bus driver for Smithville School. She was also the pastor of the Upper Room Church.
Thelma leaves behind one daughter Gloria J.(husband Danny)Eads of Bedford and one sister, Viola Kinser of Bedford and many grandchildren, great and great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons and a daughter and son-in-law: Rodney D. Prince and Robbin D. Prince both of Bloomington and Carolyn S. Morron and husband Jerry Joe Morron of Columbus and grandson Jerry Dean Morron. Thelma was also preceded in death by two sisters: Clotha Kinser and Margaret Deckard, nine brothers: Delbert, Hebert, Glen, Dale, Gilbert, Hobart, Kenneth, Leonard and Virgil Kinser.
Visitation for Thelma will be on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. in Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home, 4150 E. Third St., Bloomington, IN 47401. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 1 p.m. also in the funeral home with Pastor Joe Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Clover Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.
