Friend

RICHARD MAIER

I FIRST MET BART ABOUT 45 YEARS AGO. HE WAS CLOSE FRIEND WITH A CLOSE FRIEND OF MINE WHO WENT TO SCHOOL WITH HIM. WE WERE GUESTS OF HIS IN A SMALL TOWNHOUSE AND LIVED ON THE THIRD FLOOR. I NEVER COULD MEET HIM AS HE WOULD COME HOME AND LEAVE SO QUICKLY........HE SEEMED SO BUSY WITH HIS RELATIONSHIPS ONE COULD NOT CATCH HIM! LATER, WE GOT TO KNOW ONE ANOTHER. IN FACT WHEN WE RENEWED OUR FRIENDSHIP HE WAS SO SURPRISED THAT I WAS STILL LIVING, AS SO MANY OF OUR FRIENDS WERE NOT. WHEN WE RENEWED OUR FRIENDSHIP HE CAME TO MY HOUSE WITH A PARTY INVITATION TO HIM SOME 20 YEARS eariler. Also , it should have not been a surprise that a photography friend , MICHELE MAIER, WAS ASKED TO USE PHOTOS SHE HAD TAKEN IN THE 70's for their new CD! THEY CHOOSE PHOTOS OF ME AND BART FOR THE FRONT AND BACK OF THE CD! I FEEL AND KNOW THAT BART IS MY ETERNAL FRIEND....I TRULY TREASURE THE TIME WE WERE TOGETHER AND SO LOOKED FORWARD TO THE FUTURE AND BEING WITH SOMEONE I DEARLY LOVED...............RICHARD MAIER
