Mrs. Martha Faye Hughes, age 84, of Stockbridge, GA passed away April 22, 2017. Martha Faye was born in Tucker, GA the daughter of the late Minnie Kirkland Walker and Henly Clude Walker. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Hughes; daughter, Belinda Freeman; grandson, Jeff Richards and several siblings.
Martha Faye enjoyed spending time with family and friends, computer games, TV, bells, and “Maggie” the male cat.
Survivors are her children, William Richards (Beverly) of Jackson, James Richards (Charlene) of Jackson, Susan Adams (Dean) of Stockbridge, Josh Calvin Plummer (Christy) of Stockbridge, and Josh Moses Plummer III (Bernilla) of Virginia; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren; brother, George Robert Walker (Marion) of New Jersey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Martha Faye will be on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 – 2:00 PM at the Locust Grove Cemetery.

Still sitting here today after such a beautiful eulogy of your life by my sweet niece Selena Freeman Burkhalter. What a blessing to see all your grandchildren and all your kids there. I am so blessed to have you on our FAMILY plot to be able to visit in Locust Grove GA. Spud did such a wonderful spiritual speech in your honor and the song was beautiful AMAZING GRACE and The Dance. Thats how I remember you Dancing and full of life. I got the lucky part of your fun going off with you with your Linda. Now you two can dance together once again.. I LOVE YOU DEBBIE

Faye I will never forget the day I met your beautiful daughter Linda Richards Freeman . You gave me the best gift I could have ever received from you MY HEART MY LINDA . I have a lot of precious memories and times we shared back in the days when you Linda and I went out to see my husband Billy Dee Cox. You laughed with me cried, prayed, and even kept some of my private talk secrets when I would call you for advice. You were the most sweetest Grandmother and Mother to all of your children which I grew up also loving each and everyone. I just want to Thank you for giving the gift of life to be able to have known you and all the siblings.
