Allene Elizabeth Miller, age 95, of Lincoln Meadow Care Center, died on April 15. Born in Jefferson, Missouri to Henry and Helena Marlow-Sexton, she was married to Rex Miller, Sr. until his death on March 13, 1981.
Allene moved to the Monterey Peninsula in the early 1940's. A member of the First Baptist Church of Pacific Grove, she sang in the church choir, served on the Deaconess's Board and was an usher.
Allene is survived by her children, Gloria Ward of Stockton, Rex (Anita) Miller, Jr., of Roseville and Sharron (Ronnie) Johnson of Seaside; her sister, Lorraine Wheeler of San Jose and eleven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, seventeen great-great-grandchildren, eleven nephews and two nieces.
Onset hour will be Tuesday, April 25 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at The Paul Mortuary in Pacific Grove. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 26 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church, 246 Laurel Avenue, also in Pacific Grove with Elder Joseph Lockheart officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Memorial Park in Seaside.

My deepest condolences to Rex, Gloria and family for the loss of your mother. My last memory of her was in Nob Hill on Lighthouse in PG/Monterey when I ran into her in one of the aisles. We shared a chuckle about something we both found funny. Remember the good times...
