Claudia Ann Berlin Brazil, 72 of Stafford passed away peacefully at her daughter's residence surrounded by family on Thursday, April 20, 2017.
She was born and raised in Minnesota and although she spent the later years of her life in Virginia raising her family, Minnesota never left her heart. Her face always lit up when she spoke of her childhood memories in Minnesota. You can take the girl out of Minnesota, but you can't take Minnesota out of the girl. Her family will honor her wishes and her final resting place will be in her beloved Minnesota.
A private celebration of life will be held by the family.
Claudia is survived by her three children, Philip Brazil, Julie Way, and Kelly Caple; her son-in-law Wade Caple, five grandchildren, Tyler Brazil, Travis Brazil, Spencer Way, Anna Caple, and Alaina Caple; her sister Colleen Berlin Timmons; and her niece Cheri Kucala Baldo.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Alfred Philip Brazil; her father Clare Albert Berlin, her mother Alice Murray Berlin, her brother Clare Augustus Berlin, and granddaughter, Allison Jane Caple.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to LungCancerResearchFoundation.org
