Joe Thomas Hubbard, 89, of Fort Wayne, died on Sunday, April 23, 2017. He was born to the late Ellis and Corrine Hubbard in Dyersburg, TN. Joe retired from Wayne Home Equipment. He is survived by his sons, Charles (Janice) Hubbard and Joseph (Martha) Hubbard; daughters, Sue (Dean) Fraley and Paula (Steve) Shrock; 18 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn Hubbard; son, James Hubbard; daughters, Mary Jo Gatchell and Kathy Cupa; and brothers, Paul Hubbard and Edward Hubbard. Funeral service will be at C.M. Sloan and Sons Funeral Home 1327 N Wells St. on Thursday April 27, 2017 at 1pm with calling from 11-1pm. Burial at Covington Memorial Gardens.

Joe was like a second father to me,in many ways. I remember back when I was about 15. He took me out in that station wagon so I could practice my driving skills,very thoughtful man. I will miss him dearly.
