Constance L. Ransom Oct 19, 1924 – Apr 23, 2017 Connie Ransom, a longtime resident of Turlock, CA, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017. Born in Rake, Iowa, to Joseph and Bessie Anfinson, she graduated from Ellsworth High School in 1941. After WWII, she moved to Turlock to be with her father, and soon met her future husband, Francis (Fran) Ransom while working as a bookkeeper at Western Auto in Turlock. They were married February 24, 1947. Connie worked as a bank teller for ~30 years in Turlock and Mariposa, CA, where they retired. Fran and Connie's charitable work included construction of the Mariposa Lutheran Church.
Connie is survived by a sister, Betty Kieser, 4 daughters and a son-Linda, Nancy, Terri, Diana and Gene; 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Avenue, Hughson, CA, on Saturday, May 6, starting at 10 a.m. in the Heritage Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 225 N. Mom, I love you, I was very lucky and blessed to have such wonderful parents. Mom wish we could play one more game of Scrabble or pinochle. Well you're in God's loving arms and back with daddy there's some solace in knowing that.
