Davis (Dave) Edward Hencey, 67, of Kingwood, Texas passed away Monday, April 24, 2017. He was born October 6, 1949 in Galveston, Texas to Davis and Alice Hencey and graduated from Ball High School in 1967 and Texas A&M Galveston campus in 1973 with a degree in Marine Engineering. Davis was a member of MEBA and retired from MEBA in 2009. He married Bridgette Timmons on April 28, 1995. He is survived by his loving wife Bridgette; son, Edward & wife Erin and their children Erik and Emily of Pearland; sons, Alan of Austin and Robert of Houston; daughter, Noleah Cole & husband Rusty of Kingwood and their daughter Ella; son, Bryan Brown & wife Brittney of Houston; sister, Lois Vance & husband George of Kingwood. Davis took great pride in his blended family.
The family will be having a private celebration to remember Davis. Memorial donations may be made in Davis's name to the Star of Hope, 1811 Ruiz St., Houston, TX 77002 (713-227-8900) or a charity of your choice.

I was friends with Dave online and last year my family and I met him on our way through Houston. He was a warm, lively, funny man who was into his family in a big way and loved to enjoy himself, living his life fully. He was taken too soon and I will miss him a lot. My love to his family.
