Elsie Bond, age 76, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017, with family by her side at Trinity Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler, TX. She was a loving mother, doting grandmother and great grandmother, masterful seamstress and she truly loved fishing. Elsie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Pam and David Turbeville, Melinda “Mendy” and Jon Murphy, her loving sister and best friend Helen Barton, brother Donald McBee and wife, sister Linda Hancock, brother Bill McBee and sister Betty Plowman and husband. She will be dearly missed by her 6 grandchildren and their spouses, and her 14 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Eugene McBee and Vivian Chatman, husband Jay Bond and children Paula Renee Ray, Michael Bond, and David Ray.



Services will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. Visitation at 11:00 a.m. with service to follow at 12 noon. Burial will be at DFW National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
