Tessie Loyd Morris, 99 of Little Rock, passed away April 26, 2017. She was born to Thomas and Julia Loyd on October 22, 1917 in Mena, Arkansas.
Tessie was the longest member of Second Baptist Church for 82 years. She and her husband, Faber J. Morris, were the Arkansas Centennial Bride & Groom. She was also a charter member of the Women’s City Club.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Faber J. Morris, and her parents.
She is survived by her children, Julia (Ted) Brooks, and Betty (Jerry) Bohannon; grandchildren, Phillip (Beth) Bohannon, and Cary (Tiffany) Bohannon; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Second Baptist Church at Second Place Building, 222 East 8th St., Little Rock, 72202.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church or to a charity of your choice.
