Ron was born in Anderson, graduated from T. L. Hanna High, and received a BS in Biology from the University of South Carolina in 1976. He worked for DHEC before serving as an industrial hygienist for the SC Labor Department where he retired as a training coordinator following many years of service. Ron proudly served in the United States Navy from 1966-1970 as a Hospital Medical Corpsman and was a Viet Nam Veteran.
The family, with grateful hearts, thanks South Carolina Oncology Associates, Palmetto Health Hospice, Agape Hospice House (Lexington), and Dr. Gabe Saleeby and staff for the tender and gracious care we received during this journey. Our family, Northwood Baptist Church’s family, Pastor Dave Copeland, friends, neighbors, and countless prayer warriors have been the “hands and feet of Christ to us”.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northwood Baptist Church, 5236 Sunset Blvd. Lexington, SC 29072 or Mt. Bethel Baptist Church 2603 Due West Highway, Belton, SC 29627.

Ron and I worked together at OSHA as inspectors and later as consultants. We did inspections together and he helped me learn the ropes of my new job. He was upbeat and could cheer up the entire office with one pass down the hall.
Ron was my gun consultant and gave me tips on buying my first gun even took me to a gun shop. He said "Don't just leave in a drawer, Dale" "Get out and practice" with your gun if you buy one.
I will carry my Fisher memories for years to come.

I worked with Ron at the labor dept for many years. You felt like he was your best friend from the day you met him. He always greeted me affectionately with the nickname he tagged on me, "Jumpin' JK". What better epitaph could anyone in this life have than, "He was a good man!"

My heartfelt prayers to the Fisher family. Ron was a co-worker (OSHA) who was the epitome of warmth and sincerity. He never met a stranger, always offering a encouraging word no matter the person, and he had a way of making a person feel special (with hugs). I will definitely miss him; however, I know that I will see him again. Rest in Heaven, Ron!

I have missed Ron Fisher around LLR for many years now he was such a great guy! Such a friendly guy to everyone and he made sure he told everyone Good Morning and was always very helpful with anything you ask of him. I remember he was the only guy at my baby shower 20 years ago.....he was like a second Dad to me. Melissa if there is anything the LLR family can do for you please let us know. Will keep you all in our prayers!

I had the privilege of working with Ron at OSHA. He put a smile on everyone's face and was always kind, helpful and never met a stranger. While he was a co-worker, most importantly, he was a friend to everyone. I am sure when he is making everyone in heaven smile. Peace and strength to Melissa and family. God Bless.

I worked with Ron at OSHA. We were in different areas but I was always glad to see him. He was always outgoing, happy, smiling, laughing, even when he was doing training for us new OSHA folks or at a seminar. His personality was a gift from God. I suspect and hope that when I get to heaven Ron will be there telling me which line to get in. I'll see you again brother, Jeff Harmon OSHA OVP

Ron was my next door neighbor and friend for more than 20 years. I am honored to have known him and even more so that he would have considered me a friend. I learned a lot from Ron about what it means to be a good person, friend, neighbor and husband. I will miss him!
