Allen Rodgers Old, Jr. passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home on April 27, 2017. He was born August 23, 1936 to Allen Old, Sr and Minnie Bell (Hutto) Old in Hill County, TX. His parents preceded him in death. Rodgers married Bennie Young on February 1, 1957 in Gainesville Texas.



Rodgers served in the Air Force from 1957 thru 1961. He was employed as an Auto Pound Supervisor with the Dallas Police Department from 1964 to 1993 when he retired. Rodgers enjoyed his retirement singing in the choir at church, spending time with his family, traveling, fishing, and playing with his cows.



Rodgers is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Bennie; daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Darren Harvey of Kaufman; daughter, Melissa Tutton of Arlington; son and partner, Chris Old and Annie McDougall of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Julie Old of Kaufman. He is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Williams of Joshua and brother, Donald Old of Fort Worth.



Grandchildren are Michael and Jessie Harvey of Whitehouse, Sean and Laura Harvey of Dallas, Casey Old and Bree Aguinaga of Lake Dallas, Allen Tutton and Sarah Hartman of Frisco, Toni Old and Allen Old of Kaufman, and Edwin Old of Garland,



Great grandchildren are Addilynn and Conner Harvey of Whitehouse and Baylin Aguinaga and Grainger Old of Lake Dallas.



Visitation will be held Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home 5pm to 7 pm. Funeral Services will be 1pm Monday, May 1, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church, 1609 Rand Rd, Kaufman, TX . Burial will follow in the Wilson Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rodgers memory can be made to the Calvary Baptist Church - building fund.
