Grace Desmarais (Arnoe), age 83, passed away at home Friday, April 28, 2017 with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Louis Desmarais.
Born in Fall River a daughter of the late Frank and Olida (Longchamps) Arnoe she was a lifelong resident of the city.
A graduate of Sacred Hearts Academy she worked as an Insurance Coordinator for Aetna Life Insurance for nearly 20 years before retiring in 1998. An avid reader she also enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching old movies and was an enthusiastic Red Sox fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Kershaw and her husband Richard of Westport; son, Paul Desmarais and his wife Debra of Bethel, CT; brothers, Paul Arnoe and his wife Carmeleta and Frank Arnoe and his wife Jacqueline; four grandchildren, Douglas Kershaw, Grace Desmarais, Marian Desmarais and Ashley Fournier; three great-grandchildren, Kylee, Luke and Lily Fournier and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late George Arnoe.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 10:00AM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME AT CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter St., Fall River. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Southcoast VNA, 200 Mill Rd., Ste. 120, Fairhaven, MA 02719.

so sorry to hear about Grace's death. She was my first cousin her mother and my mother were sisters. We lived next door to her all through high school. i am sure you will really miss her. We always kept in touch if only with a Christmas Card. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. My e-mail address is [email protected].
