Edna Earl Wilson, 86, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017. Born June 1, 1930 to the late Clarence E. Jones and Vera Rhodes Jones in Sycamore, GA.
Mrs. Wilson was a dedicated member of First Baptist of Emerson in Emerson, GA. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and a volunteer at the hospital logging over two thousand hours. But most of all, Edna was a wonderful woman who loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for them and for her church, making legendary biscuits that will be missed.
Mrs. Wilson is preceded in death by her parents Mr. Clarence E. Jones and Vera Rhodes Jones, loving husband, Verlin E. Wilson , and son, Steve Wilson.
She is survived by her sons; Daniel Wilson (Joy),and Joe Wilson (Karen), Daughter, Ann Williams (Doug), sister, Joy Gregory, daughter-in-law, Nyelia Wilson, grandchildren; April Shinkle, Andy Wilson, Christy Henry, Jenny Streetman, Dave Wilson, Chad Wilson, Jason Williams, Joey Wilson, Chris Williams and Nick Williams, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wilson will be held in the chapel of Owen Funeral Home, Cartersville, GA, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at eleven o'clock in the morning. Officiating will be the Rev. Andy Wilson. Serving as pallbearers will be: Dave Wilson, Chad Wilson, Jason Williams, Joey Wilson, Chris Williams and Nick Williams. Interment will follow the service at Kennesaw Memorial Park, Marietta, GA.
The family cordially invites friends for a visitation to be held at Owen Funeral Home from six o'clock in the evening until eight, Tuesday, May 2, 2017.
