I was out of town when Cenie's service was held and so sorry I missed being there to honor her. She was the sweetest, lovliest Christian woman ready with a hug each time I saw her. Always a smile. She was the perfect greeter at the church, making all feel welcome. She was an amazing, faithful helper with the senior adult get-togethers, coming early to see how she could help. I loved her style. Lovely simple clothes always happy colors with darling earrings and a few bangles. I always loved to compliment her on her cute "accessories". I miss her a lot, but will see her one day. For now she is enjoying the splendor of Heaven and reunion with loved ones. Praying for your family. God bless!

Cenie was a special friend for about 30 years. It started after her car wreck on a rain slick road at Belcher and Greenbrier when a lady took the turn too fast and she ran into Cenie who was waiting at the light. I believe it was 1988. She was wearing a neck brace at the gym and it was a good conversation piece. I had to know what happened. We did a lot of exercise together since then. Shehad tried to exercise right up to the end. In fact it was only 3 or 4 weeks ago she said I'm going to try to get back to the Long Center. I bet she is exercising up in Heaven already.

What a very special lady Cenie was. She always had a smile and special word for all especially while serving as a greeter at Calvary Baptist Church. She will be missed not only by her family but also by all of us whose lives she touched. Prayers for Mike and the family in the days ahead. God bless you all.
