Patsy R. "Pat" Flewelling, age 89, of Tampa, Florida, passed away on May 3, 2017, with her family by her side.
She was born on September 30, 1927, in Port Huron, Michigan, to the late Leo and Edith Jowett.
Pat married Richard Flewelling on June 23, 1951, in Port Huron. Dick passed awy on December 28, 2001.
She graduated from Port Huron High School in 1946 and graduated from Central Michigan University in 1950. Pat was school teacher for 33 years and a member of the Keystone United Methodist Church, Tampa. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her home and grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Lynne F. Dossett of Tampa, grandchildren, Nicole Dossett of Tampa, Danielle (James) Meadowcroft of Odessa, great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Fallyn, Adalye, Harding, Caleb and James V., sister and brother-in-law, Betty (George) Pake of Zephyrhills, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Riske, brother, William Jowett and son-in-law, Don Dossett.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday, May 13, 2017 in Keystone United Methodist Church, Odessa, Florida. Visiting hours will be Friday, 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Blount & Curry Funeral Home, 3207 West Bearss Ave, Tampa, and Saturday, 1:00pm until the time of services at 2:00pm at the church. Pastor Chris Kirk will officiate. Burial will be in Keystone United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Pake, Jon Pake, James Meadowcroft, Joshua Meadowcroft, Danielle Meadowcroft and Nicole Dossett. The honorary pallbearers will be Alan R. Jowett and Kenneth L. White.
Memorial tributes may be made to Melech Hospice House or Keystone United Methodist Church.
