Helen Cline Miller, 92, a resident of Weyers Cave, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Bridgewater Retirement Community.
She was born on May 4, 1925 in Verona and was the daughter of the late Clarence Eugene and Hazel Ruth Sheets Cline.
Helen was a lifelong resident of Augusta County and graduated from Mt. Sidney High School. She was a homemaker and an active member of Verona United Methodist Church. She loved her grandchildren, gardening, flowers and traveling.
On April 18, 1947 she married Carl F. Miller, Jr., who preceded her in death on February 4, 1997.
She is survived by two daughters, Ruth Ann Wright and husband, Charles L., of Weyers Cave, Melanie M. Blosser of Waynesboro, two sons, David F. Miller and wife, Elaine, of Verona and Larry H. Miller of Mt. Sidney; seven grandchildren, Benjamin H. Miller and wife, Christy, Rachel Miller, Alicia Lambert and husband, Josh, Daniel Wright, Jordan Blosser, Megan Faye and Jessica Blosser; four great-grandchildren, Colton and Piper Lambert, Jordan and Maddie Miller; two sisters, Shirley C. Carter of Verona, and Marjorie C. "Tina" Scavatto of Roanoke; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 7:00-9:00 pm, this evening (Tuesday) at Lindsey Funeral Home in Weyers Cave.
Burial will be held 10:00 am, Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 am at Verona United Methodist Church with Pastor Bob Weeks officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Verona UMC, P. O. Box 47, Verona, VA 24482.

Mrs. Miller was such a kind, gracious lady. She made going to VUMC fun. She was such a great cook and would always tell me it was ok to get seconds. Her apple dumplings and apple dumpling gang will go down in history. It was an honor to know her.
