Mrs. Danko, Margie, Francie, Kathy, and Steve,
My deepest sympathy on your loss. I remember our time as neighbors on Taft Ave. fondly. Some of my more vivid memories of Mr. Danko include his collection of license plates displayed in your garage and his involvement with the Soap Box Derby. I remember him getting me celebrity autographs one year at the Derby. I also recall a lovely visit Dad, Mom, and I had with all of you when we came to S.C. on vacation. I feel fortunate to have kept in touch with Margie so I have been up-to-date on your family for all of these years. Again, I am so very sorry for your loss and you are all in my thoughts.
With love, Susie (Neitz)

Mr. Danko was a friend of my parents, Albert and Agnes D'Aurelio from Barberton, Ohio. Many years ago, when I had to spend a week in Columbia, SC for training, Mr. Danko was kind enough to pick me up at my hotel on a Sunday evening and show me the sites around town. He made my visit there much more interesting and I never forgot his kindness in taking the time to do so. My parents always spoke highly of Mr. Danko and I'm sure they are all visiting each other in Paradise. My sympathy to those he has left behind....Dan D'Aurelio, Akron, Ohio.

Mrs. Danko,
Elmer was a fine man and will be missed in the town of Irmo. I have known Elmer since 1986 when I first moved to Irmo. He was always at our Council meetings and kept us on our toes. We who had the pleasure to know him will miss him greatly. Please extend my deepest sympathy to your children and I will call when I return to Columbia on Monday.

Elmer was a pillar in our Community. He constantly pushed for the Town to do the right thing. He attended most Council meetings and spoke passionately about our Town. His drive made us better. His fight will continue as we move to improve Irmo. We have lost a true patriot, gentleman, and friend. Elmer will be sorely missed.
Your family and you will be in our thoughts and prayers. Know that he is in no more pain and he waits for you to share in God's promise and glory.
Sincerely,
Mark Pouliot, Councilman, Town of Irmo
