Kaye was always so kind & loving to me. I loved her like a daughter. I'm so sorry for the families' & friend's loss. Her sweet daughter, Carolyn Gentry, loved her mother so very much. Just hoping everyone can help ease her pain in the years to come. Frances & Papa Carroll did such an amazing job in caring for Kaye. Our hearts are broken.

My heart breaks for you both, Francis and Carol. I had no idea Kay was so ill, but I am relieved for her and all her family that she no longer suffers.
I will carry you both very close to my heart in the days and months ahead in the firm belief that time, faith, and the love and support of friends will help you hold this unimaginable loss and offer you some manner of eventual peace. I consider myself part of that circle of support and love for you both.
With great affection,

Kaye was selected as my mentor when I started my teaching career. I wondered how I got a P.E. teacher as a mentor. I quickly figured that out. She taught me things about children that you don't learn in a class, and things about being a team player. She was such a caring and attentive person and I am proud to have known and worked alongside her. She was talented and creative. May God bless those who will miss her. I will.

I taught Kay P.E.at Cartersville Elementary School. She shared with me in 2008 the reason she became a P.E. Teacher was because of me. I will never forget that day she brought good tears to my eyes.
