I met Gerry about 3-years ago professionally. As she entered the doors of our Pooled Special Needs Trust, she was striking and impressive. Although a consummate professional, she was always warm and friendly. She carefully and sensitively helped some of the people we serve make pre-arrangements. Her light shone bright has dimmed, but her family should know that even professionally, it was noticeable. Rest Peacefully. You will be missed.

I met Ms Bailey at an event me and my mother went to. She was representing Stewart funeral home and I was representing Fort Lincoln Cemetery and we connected. We were side by side with our exhibits. We had a great time we talked about any and everything that day she called me a week later and said girl you need to change that voice mail at work. Lol! And I did because I know she called to listen. She was truly a good person to look in the paper and seen her I was a little taken back but we all know god always take the best. May god bless the family we still have more work to do on earth. Her work here is well done. Until we meet again. Even though we both are in the death care industry it is still never easy and the pain is still the same.

Ms. Bailey was such a beautiful person inside and out. We met Ms. Bailey when she would come into the Greenbelt Post Office. She befriended all of us and she never came into the Post Office without saying hello. She was very proud of her children and grandchildren. She always talked about her family. We are very saddened with the news of her passing. But we do know that God is real and his word is true. 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 states:“So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” The ladies from the Greenbelt Post Office, Chrystal, Debra, Angie, Detanja and Jusheba

Geraldine was a kind and wonderful colleague and friend throughout the many years we've worked and known one another. My prayer for the family is that you all find comfort in knowing that Gerry is at peace with God. May the peace of The Lord be with you.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. It seems so unfair that death would have the power to take away someone you love. And when it happens, the thought of never being able to talk to, laugh with, or hold your loved one can be most difficult to bear. The pain is not necessarily erased by being told that your loved one is up in heaven, as if God doesn't care about our pain. Only God's Kingdom can bring peace, happiness, perfect health, and everlasting life -Matthew 6:9, 10

Beautiful, vibrant, loving, fun, caring, the ultimate lady/woman is just a few words I use to describe Gerry. Painful, sad, angry, confused, disbelief are what I'm feeling right now. I saw Gerry as she was leaving our hair salon and we exchanged a quick joke and sent each other off with "I love you, have good day and be careful." It hurts to know that's the last time we will share our always upbeat conversation. I will miss you "Lady in Red"!
