Ethel Rose Thibodeaux Guidry entered peacefully into heaven on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. A devoted wife of the late Clinton Peter Guidry, Sr. for sixty one years. A loving mother of Clinton P. Guidry, Jr., Karla Guidry Alimia (Manuel), Brent T. Guidry and Katherine Guidry Areas (Chris).
A proud grandmother of Ashley G. Pabst (Elroy), Angie Alimia (Pat), Manuel Alimia III (Christine), Shawn Alimia, Misty G. Coon (Jeff), Joshua Guidry (Jamie), Jonathon Guidry (Gabby), Kandace B. Matherne (Larry), Ruston Boutte (Tabitha), Tyler Boutte, Christopher Areas (Lyndey) and Nicholas Areas. Great grandmother of Gabriel Guidry, Oliver Pabst, Jace Alimia, DaVon Alimia, Macey Morris, Lauren Coon, Kyle Coon, Gage Guidry, Mylee Guidry, Harper Guidry, Destiny Chauppette, Alexis Tewelde and Tatum Matherne. Daughter of the late Catherine Touchard Thibodeaux and Dozilen Thibodeaux. Sister of the late Edward Thibodeaux. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Age 86, a native of New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Lafitte, LA. Ethel was a business owner of Marrero Florist Shop for many years. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, and spending time with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church in which she served in the church in various activities.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 2653 Jean Lafitte Blvd., Lafitte, LA on Monday, May 15, 2017, at 12:30 PM. Visitation from 9:00 AM until Mass time. Interment following in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 1225 Whitney Blvd., Gretna, LA. Express condolences at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
