Dear Honey, Carlo, and Peter
I want to express my deepest sympathies to you on the passing of your father, Chek.
I first met your Dad when he was my children's pediatrician here in Sheridan many years ago. Over the years I got to know his family and watched his devotion to you and to his Mother. It definitely wasn't easy for him to make those monthly trips to Big Horn winter and summer to see how she was doing, but he did it.
He was a great father, son, grandfather (I'm sure) and did accomplish one of his main goals in life and that was to contribute and to make a difference in the world. He will be really missed.
Best Regards to all of you.

Dr. Beuf was my kids' pediatrician and I felt blessed knowing I always had him as their advocate. He went the extra mile for all three of them, even giving one of them his home phone number. I'll never forget how he relentlessly called the neurology department at Children's Hospital when my daughter was ill, demanding that they continue searching for a diagnosis. They did, and eventually found she had encephalitis. I was told that they would have stopped testing if he had not been hounding them to find an answer. I am forever grateful for his passion and commitment to the health of Boulder's children. Rest In Peace, Dr. Beauf. And don't eat that lollipop while walking!

He was my classmate at Caltech and a good friend. Decades later he was the pediatrician who took care of my youngest daughters. He was one of the most intelligent persons I have ever known. I will miss him.

Dr. Beuf was right there when our son was born, saw us through a rough start and remained my son's pediatrician until we moved from Boulder county 9 years ago. One of my favorite memories was a story he told me about his interest in fireworks as a high schooler. His science teacher ordered chemicals for him and he made is own fireworks then gave the town a fireworks display. It was a good reminder to nourish curiosity rather than stifle it. We will miss knowing that he's racing around in his special car and will cherish our experience with him and memories of his great stories.
