Arnold Krisatis Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 13, 2017.

Arnold John (Chris) Krisatis, age 84, passed away Friday, May 12, 2017. He was born April 5, 1933, in Red Wing, MN to William and Margaret Krisatis. Chris was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War where he was awarded a Bronze Star for heroism. He was a heavy equipment operator at Muskegon Asphalt for many years and a perfectionist as a painter at Northern Boiler. Chris loved camping, feeding the birds, and Nascar but most of all he loved being a practical joker. Every friend and/or family member would fall for his hole in the can trick. Chris is survived by his children, William (Laura) Krisatis, Donald (Michelle) Krisatis, Brenda (James) Pearson, Lori (Terry) Bates, Kimberly (Leonard) Smith, John (Peggy) Nic, Rick (Cindy) Nic, Randy Nic, and Lori Swanson; 21 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and special friends, Patricia Hanson, Lisa Pletcher and Sharon Stevens. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, daughter, Roxanne, and his parents and siblings. Visitation will be from 2-4 pm Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the Ever Rest Funeral Home followed by military rites conducted by the Hesperia American Legion Post # 411. Memorial contributions may be made to Howling Timbers Animal Sanctuary.
