Mattie Ruth Cockrill, age 79 of Homer passed away peacefully on May 16, 2017 at
Medilodge of Marshall, Michigan. She was born September 21, 1937 to Mearion F. and Mattie L. (Watkins) Weakley in Woodlawn, Tennessee.
Mattie is survived by a son, L. D. Black of Clarksville, TN; brothers, Phillip and
Eugene Weakley both of Homer, Robert Austin of Quincy; sisters, Carolyn Fix, Betty Sharpe both of Homer,
Rebecca Austin, Libby Harris and Kathy Austin all of Tekonsha, Deborah Austin of Battle Creek, Roxie Bojack of Wyoming and Sherry Turner of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Teressa Austin and a brother Bobby.
Graveside Side service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 1:30PM at
Fairview Cemetery, M Drive South, Homer, Michigan 49245.
