Harry Eugene Blake, 72, of Leland died Monday May 22, 2017 at SECU Hospice House of Bolivia.
Mr. Blake was born in New Hanover Co. on December 5, 1944 and was son of the late Harry and Myrtle Sloop Blake. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Blake. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Mr. Blake was well-known for his pipe fitting and welding skills and was a member of the Pipe and Steam Fitters Union.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie M. Blake; three sons, Terry Blake of Leland, Tim Blake of Holden Beach, Steven Blue of Leland; three daughters, Vickie Blake of Wilmington, Tammy Blue of Leland, Danielle Blue of Leland; two brothers, Jimmy Blake of Watha, Tommy Blake of Wilmington; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday May 25, 2017 at eleven o'clock in the morning at the White Funeral Service Chapel 603 Ocean Hwy. E. Bolivia.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
