Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Diane H. Coker of Kennesaw; daughters, Tammy (James) Wissing of Dallas, GA. Tonya (Jon) Drew of Kennesaw, GA, and son, Todd (Courtney) Coker of Acworth, GA; Two brothers, Arnie Coker of Dallas, GA, and Dennis (Trish) Coker of New Market, TN; Two sisters, Marilyn (Gordon) Shoaf of Fort Payne, AL, and Dale (Gary) Davidson of Dallas, GA; 7 grandchildren; Tyler Wissing, Tate Wissing, Carley Drew, Grey Coker, Cam Drew, Olivia Coker and Lauren Wissing as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Coker was employed by Lockheed Martin Aeronautical in Marietta before retiring in 2000. O'Neal proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corp, 11th Marines, 2nd Battalion during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. With great pride and joy he coached girls softball in Kennesaw, at Adams Park for 17 years. O'Neal was an avid hunter for more than 60 years. Through his close involvement he passed his passion for hunting and the outdoors onto his son, son-in-law's and grandchildren. He was also a founding member of the Kennesaw Bushwhackers where he spent countless hours for more than 35 years. When he was not hunting he could often be found outside working in the yard or hosting numerous pool parties with family and friends. After retirement, Mr. Coker thoroughly enjoyed traveling with his wife and family. O'Neal took numerous trips out west to Wyoming, Alaska, Texas and other areas of the country. He also enjoyed spending time at the beach with his family. In his later years he would spend as much time as possible at his grandchildren's sporting events.

O'Neal will be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted father, doting grandfather and proud veteran. His charismatic personality and sense of humor were never lost on anyone he knew. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

I met Mr. Coker probably 12 years ago when I first met Tammy and Tonya. His smile and sense of humor is contagious! I loved talking to him- he always made me laugh! This man loved our country, his family and loved seeing his grandkids play ball! He will be greatly missed by all who knew him... such a wonderful man!

O'Neal was a person I had the privilege to know in my life along with the rest of his family and friends. It has been a blessing to me. I will always remember Neal as an upstanding and outstanding family man who also enjoyed his friends as well. I will always remember our outdoor adventures and stories fondly as long as I am on this earth. Rest In Peace my friend. We will meet again.
