Chris Anthony Lirette passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Saturday afternoon, May 20, 2017. He was 54 years old. Loving son of Joe and Deloris Lirette. Brother of Timmy Lirette (Donnell Leblanc) and Dion Lirette (Bridgette Gregoire). Uncle of Krystal Lirette, Kayla Lirette, Kerris Lirette, Timmy Lirette Jr., and Takoda Lirette. Great-uncle of Jayden and Bentley. Grandson of the late Caliste Lirette and Marie Verdin Lirette and Allie Lovell and Rosanelle Trosclair Lovell. Also survived by his uncles, aunts, and cousins. Chris was a native and lifelong resident of Marrero and graduated from West Jefferson High School. He was a longtime member of the Friendship Club. He loved music, family events, and his hat collection. Chris will be dearly missed by all. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at WESTSIDE LEITZ-EAGAN, 5101 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, on Friday afternoon, May 26, 2017 at 1:00. Visitation will begin at 9:00. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna. An online guestbook is available at www.westsideleitzeagan.com.
