Mrs. Alberta Burns died peacefully at Hospice of Charleston on May 23, 2017 in Mt. Pleasant, SC at the age of 85. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Burns, of Staten Island, NY.



Alberta was born on May 13, 1932 in Staten Island, NY. After moving to the area in just before Hugo, she became an avid SC Stingrays hockey fan. There, Alberta met many friends over the course of many seasons. She also enjoyed skating at the Carolina Ice Palace, where she also developed many more friendships.



A private memorial will be held.

I am so very sorry to hear of Alberta's passing.We had some great times skating at the Palace, talking hockey, skating and having fun at coffee break.I am sure if there is an ice rink in heaven she is there having a grand time. I will treasure her friendship always.
