Michael Morel, Sr., 62, of Keene, passed away May 22, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, MA after a period of declining health.
He was born in Berlin, NH, on October 4, 1954, the son of Rose (LaFemme) and Raymond Morel, Sr. In grade school he moved to the Monadnock area and graduated from Keene High School.
Michael had been employed by Kingsbury as a Machinist and most recently as a custodian for the Monadnock Regional School District.
Michael will be remembered as a kind man with an exuberant sense of humor and phenomenal memory. He was proud to be a Fourth Degree Knight, the highest and most prestigious degree within the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed watching westerns and was quite the car enthusiast. He was very fond of his cats and dog, Skip. Michael made many memories with his wife, Marilyn, traveling the Eastern United States and Caribbean.
Michael will be dearly missed by his loving wife of nearly 17 years: Marilyn (Morrissey) Morel; son: Mike Morel, Jr. and his wife Devon of West Chesterfield; four grandchildren: Josh, Christian, Jade, and Charles; and sister: Linda Morel of Winchester.
Services for Michael will be held at the Church of the Nazarene, 55 Maple Ave, Keene, NH on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 11:00 am, officiated by Dr. Pastor John F. Reilly.
