Scotty Ray Payne, 53 of Hazel Green, AL passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Payne; son, Dustin Ray Payne; two sisters, Mary Dale Floyd, Barbara Ann Payne. He is survived by his daughter, Vikki Nicole Lindsey of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Maryssa Lindsey, Christopher Lindsey, Jr., Nicholas Scott Lindsey; father, J.M. Payne of New Market, AL; sisters, Bobby Berry of Scottsboro, AL, Julie Ann Laten of Huntsville, AL, Bonnie Hall of Huntsville, AL, Wanda Gail Mason of Detroit, MI, Brenda Sue Bennett of Elora, TN, Betty Sue Williamson of New Market, AL; brothers, James Richard Payne of Albertville, AL, Jerry Michael Payne of Huntsville, AL, Donald Edward Payne of Huntsville, AL, along with numerous other family and friends.



Scotty loved fishing, hunting, drag racing, working in the yard and spending time with his friends and family. One of the best traits Scotty was known for was his giving spirit. He never failed to help anyone that needed help. He will be missed by all who knew him.



A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 2:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Please sign his guest registry at www.valhallafunerals.com.

I am so heart broken to hear of this great loss. My heart goes out to the family and all of us to be honest. Krystal, I love you darlin, I'm praying for you and the family. I would love to see you again my sweet friend. I was so glad to see you Scottie and get that last hug in Wal-Mart so many people love you and you will forever be missed. I am still in shock. Krystal my husband works at Wolfman he has spoken to you a couple of times, if you ever feel like hanging out or you just need to escape for a while please, please contact me we will run away and laugh until it hurts like the good ole days.
